Evergreen Conference from 1924-1995, now Center/Stage
is the performing venue for groups like the Evergreen
Chorale, the Evergreen Children’s Chorale, the Evergreen

Winterfest Arts Festival
A fabulous selection of gallery-quality fine
art and distinctive crafts make this festival the talk of the town. There are holiday
craft-making opportunities for kids in Santa’s Workshop and a variety of festive holiday musical performances throughout the
day. Held in early November at Evergreen
High School, Winterfest’s proceeds promote
community arts programs year-round.
Alternative Gift Fair
Buy once and give twice at this early
November weekend fair which featuring
wide variety of unique gifts from 50 different nonprofit organizations. Since its inception, this exciting collaborative event has
raised over $500,000 for local, national and
international charities. Lunch and snacks
are available at the Youth Café.
Tree-Lighting Ceremony and
In early December attend a magical outdoor tree-lighting ceremony at Evergreen
Lake. Afterward, accompany Santa and
Mrs. Claus on the annual Holiday Walk to
downtown Evergreen for roasted chestnuts,
choirs, bell ringers, face painting, dance
performances and more.
Sparkle and Shine — A Celebration
of our Community
This December join us for a holiday din-
ner and celebration of the many businesses
that shine in our community. Evergreen’s
Business-of-the-Year, and additional new
business awards, will be announced.
Skate the Lake New Year’s Eve
Celebrate New Year’s Eve outdoors at
Evergreen Lake. Enjoy ice-skating, an ice
sculpture playground, fire barrel bonfires,
sleigh rides, hockey games, food, music and
dancing at this alcohol-free, family-friendly
extravaganza. Two spectacular fireworks
shows (8p.m. and midnight) light the skies
to welcome the New Year. Tickets are sold
in advance. Proceeds support Drive Smart
Evergreen Lake’s Polar Plunge
If you dare, at high noon on New Year’s Day
come take the plunge into Evergreen Lake’s
icy waters. Amid ice sculptures, music and
more and to the crowd’s amazement, daring divers jump into six-foot deep icy Rocky
Mountain water. Proceeds benefit Drive
Smart programs and the Evergreen Recreation District’s Special Needs Program.
Evergreen Pond Hockey Tournament
On the first weekend in January come
experience Evergreen Lake’s seven acres of
Zamboni-groomed ice during this exciting adult pond hockey competition. On
10 rinks, 25 teams from around the country compete for bragging rights and a cash
award. Free spectator attendance.
Evergreen Ice Golf Tournament
A hardy group of January golfers play an
icy obstacled 18-hole course with colored
tennis balls at this ice golf tournament on
Evergreen Lake. Cash prizes are awarded;
spectators attend for free. Proceeds benefit
the Aktion Club for developmentally disabled children.
Winter Festival at Evergreen Lake
February 9th plan to attend this exciting winter sports extravaganza sponsored by Never
Summer Industries where amateur and professional competitors mountain bike, ice
skate, ski and snowboard at Evergreen Lake.
The all-day, family-friendly festival produced by the Evergreen Park and Recreation
District includes snow sculptures and slides,
sleigh rides, music, retail and food vendors—and closes with a thrilling nighttime
fireworks display over the lake.
Chamber and Leadership Evergreen
Nominated chamber and community
members are presented Nonprofit, Ambassador, Youth, Young Professional, Volunteer and Leadership Evergreen awards. Food
and drinks will be served at this annual
February event held at Elks Lodge.
